For the Coach: Mandatory Coaching Videos & Trainings 

Coaches must complete the Coaches Code of Ethics Form and email to anield@yksd.com

In addition, YKSD coaches will need to complete the 5 Required Courses by ASAA/NFHS listed on the ASAA Page. This can be done at the school and paid for with a PCard. Please log in and create an account, then email proof of completion to anield@yksd.com https://asaa.org/coaches/coaches-education/

• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching $60 (It is good for lifetime)
• Alaska/ASAA State Component $25 (as a stand alone course)
• First Aid, Health and Safety for Coaches $45 (Good for 3 yrs)
• Alaska state law requires anyone doing any type of coaching with high school students to complete the "Concussion Training". The training is free and can be accessed on the ASAA site here: http://asaa.org/coaches/coaches-education/
• Sudden Cardiac Arrest. The training is free and can be accessed on the ASAA site here: http://asaa.org/coaches/coaches-education/

The ASAA Executive Director may grant a one season extension of this certification requirement upon receiving an individual member schools’ and district request. No coach may be granted more than one extension. Refer to Article 10 – ASAA Bylaws. Coaches Certification Extension Request: ASAA may grant a one time extension of the certification requirement upon receiving such a request from the school administration.
